Society for Peace & Development is a political and social liberation political party duly registered under the laws of Uganda.
The Society for Peace and Development Party believes that true national progress can only be achieved through the pillars of peace, justice, unity, and inclusive development. Our ideology is centered on building a society where every citizen—regardless of background, region, or belief—has an equal opportunity to live in dignity, prosperity, and harmony

OUR CORE VALUES

Peace as the Foundation

We uphold peace as the cornerstone of national stability, rejecting violence, intolerance, and division. Dialogue, reconciliation, and respect for diversity will guide our approach to conflict resolution

Inclusive Development

We strive for a people-centered economy where resources are equitably distributed, and no community is left behind. Education, healthcare, agriculture, and job creation will be prioritized to empower citizens

Social Justice and Human Dignity

We believe in fairness, equity, and the protection of human rights. Our policies will ensure equal access to opportunities, gender equity, and the protection of vulnerable groups including youth, women, orphans, and persons with disabilities.

Unity and National identity

We reject divisions based on tribe, religion, or political affiliation. SPDP will champion national solidarity, patriotism, and cultural pride while embracing diversity as a strength.

Sustainable Development

We promote development that balances economic growth with environmental protection for future generations. Innovation, green energy, and responsible resource management are central to our vision

Our Manifesto

For over three decades, Uganda has suffered under a system that promotes fear over dialogue, corruption over opportunity, and exclusion over fairness. Our nation is ready for a transformative shift. SPD believes the time has come for meaningful change and inclusive progress. Our theme, “Freedom Is Coming,” reflects the call for liberation from misrule, economic hardship, and state oppression.

GOOD GOVERNANCE:

We will dismantle fear-based governance and promote transparency, human rights, and justice for all.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS:

SPD supports peacebuilding, not unnecessary foreign interventions.

ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION:

Uganda must stop reckless borrowing and invest in innovation, trade, and local industry.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

- Volunteering will be promoted to empower youth and strengthen communities.

LAND JUSTICE:

Fraud in land matters must end. We’ll protect ownership rights and return grabbed land.

EMPOWERING YOUTH & WOMEN:

The youth need jobs, not just promises. We’ll create opportunities and leadership roles. - Women’s empowerment and fair representation are non-negotiable.

HEALTH & JUSTICE REFORM:

Hospitals will be resourced, staff recruited, and essential medicine supplied. - Justice must be accessible and fair; the death penalty will be abolished.

SCIENCE & INNOVATION

- Uganda’s growth depends on ideas. SPD will support innovators and researchers. - We’ll invest in technologies that address local problems and expand digital inclusion.

SECURITY & JUSTICE:

We’ll end political policing and unlawful detentions. - SPD supports a professional police and army free from partisan control.
